Electrical Testing

There are several ways to test a slip ring for any given electrical characteristic. The following schematics indicate standard test circuits. The schematics are presented as equivalent circuits and do not contain the information required for test duplication. Test details and technical assistance will be gladly supplied by our testing department.

HIPOT, LEAKAGE & SERIES RESISTANCE

EXAMPLE: Model (any standard model with 1,000 volt catalog rating). Test Voltage: 2,100 volts DC between each ring and all other rings and between each ring and the case. Leakage Resistance: 1 x 10 10Ω minimum (10,000 MΩ ) at 72 degrees Fahrenheit and 50-60% humidity.
