Specialty Units

IEC has designed and manufactured specialty units to better suit customer needs. Mainly focusing on high ambient temperatures and the necessity to implement an encoder, our units consistently adhere to industry standards and requirements.

Specialty Applications Include: High Temperature, High Voltage, High Amperage, and Encoder Units

High Temperature (HT)

The HT style units evolved through custom development with customers in the petroleum industry. These unique products are designed for the harshest of environments and they are able to withstand the high pressure and extreme temperature typically associated with downhole tooling applications. Our standard unit is manufactured with 3 foot leads on each end. The HT-1.79 and HT-1.85 are 10 or 20 conductor units designed to run in synthetic oil. Note: 1.79" and 1.85" denote the diameter of the unit.

Encoder Units

IEC proudly integrated encoders into our FM units in 2016. Encoder units enable operators to accurately monitor the amount of revolutions made by the flange. We offer the flexibility to incorporate standard magnetic encoders within our 2, 4, 8, or 12 conductor units.
